Course Selection

It is that time of the year again where students are starting to think and plan for next year.  Grade 10 students who are enrolled in a Planning 10 class here at Sardis will be doing their course selection in their Planning 10 class.  Grade 10 students NOT ENROLLED IN PLANNING 10 and the Grade 11 students will be doing courses selections on Feb. 17 and 24 in the theatre with the counsellors, in the following order:

• Block 1 - Grade 11 last name A-G
• Block 2 - Grade 11 last name H-N
• Block 3 - Grade 11 last name O-Z
• Block 4 - Grade 10 students WITHOUT PLANNING 10

Make-up sessions will be done on Feb. 18 and 25 following the same order as listed above.  There is a PowerPoint available for Grade 10 and Grade 11 students as well as an electives DVD and a course calendar which are all available on the website for students to look at in addition to attending the presentation.  These are found under Student Information then Course Selection.

Satisfaction Survey 2009/10

The Provincial Satisfaction Survey gathers information from parents, teachers, and students on topics related to school environment, safety, and achievement.  This information is used for planning in individual schools and provides a district and provincial perspective.  We encourage parents to participate in this survey and this year, the survey can be completed online at www.bced.gov.bc.ca/sat_survey. All that is required is a logon number that the school will provide to participants by phone (604-858-9424) or email.  For those parents who would like to participate but do not have access to a computer call Mr. Sekhon (604-858-9424) and he will arrange for one here at the school.  For further instructions click here.

Sardis Secondary's Drumline Benefit Concert

Support our drumline as they raise money to perform at the Olympics by attending their benefit concert on February 7th, 2010 at 7:00pm here at Sardis Secondary.  Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased at Sardis Secondary and London Drugs.  See email comments.  Update as of February 04 - no tickets left.  Tickets will not be sold at the door.  See more information including performance dates, times and photos from Vancouver.
